Got the size 6 needles (did you know Addi Turbos come in a 20″ length? It’s even better for a large hat than the 16″!). Worked on the fourth iteration of the hat last night.
Folkcat’s Pirates Hat
And yes, I’ve tried it on, and yes, it fits!

Your hat is turning out out really nice now that you are on the right size needles for you.

Kaitie Tee, the colors are my husband’s choice. The hat is a Christmas gift for him. I’m glad I had him pick the yarn, I would have gone with blue & white for him! :)

Thanks for the heads-up on the needles (and an alternate color selection!). FWIW, I recently started using 2 needles for circular knitting. Couldn’t stand the tiny 16″ or less needles so replaced all my needles (over a bigggg stretch of time!) with 2 24″ needles in all sizes. Knitting my tam circularly with 2 24″ #5 needles. I’m so anxious to get started on the Pirates hat!!
