January 19, 2007 in FO!
I finished the pirate hat on Wednesday night. It was a quick and fun project.
I didn’t bother to block it since the yarn is partly acrylic. The fit is perfect and it seemed warm when I wore it out yesterday.

Looks great and I really love the colours you selected.
You mentioned that as the yarn was partly acrylic that you did not need to block the hat. Do you, or any one else out there, know which fibers are better or worse for colour work? Because of the tension issues and such. This will be my first colour work project.

Kirk- I’m no expert with colorwork but I would think that an animal fiber would be a better choice. You can block out your tension issues that way.
